Americans have already seen tea party movie

Seems to me the “tea parties” have a lot in common with the classic movie “Meet John Doe.” The rich and powerful pay a jobless, itinerant man to appear as “John Doe” giving speeches (he didn’t write) about the common man and the common good which starts a nationwide movement and formation of “John Doe Societies.”
We come to find out that the rich and powerful man funding the movement has done so only as a ploy of self-promotion because he wants to run for president of the United States and wants “John Doe” to help garner the votes for him.
The man behind the tea parties, former House Majority leader Dick Armey, is not only rich and powerful himself but a paid shill for some of the biggest and wealthiest corporations in our country. He doesn’t have the interest of the average Joes in our country at heart any more than the fictitious character in the movie did.
Armey had many years of service on Capitol Hill to correct rising taxes and government spending, especially when his party had control of all three branches of government. They did nothing but create more national debt during their tenure than in all of our previous history as a nation combined!
These tea parties aren’t helping you and me, they’re helping corporate America and Armey because they are succeeding in turning us against each other instead of turning the spotlight on them and their greed and corruption. They are the ultimate hypocrites.
They snicker at our gullibility that we are so easily suckered into believing their disingenuous concern and moral outrage for Joe America. They put us on the path long before January 20th of this year. It’s time to blow the whistle on the antics and misinformation of Dick Armey and company.
