Clark council seeks replacement for Dunlap
CLARK — Clark council is looking for someone to fill a vacant seat created by Councilman Richard Dunlap’s resignation.
Dunlap resigned effective Dec. 31 for medical reasons, borough secretary Phyliss Parshall said.
Anyone interested in the position should send a letter of interest to Mrs. Parshall’s attention by 1 p.m. Wednesday to the borough building at 2798 Winner Road, Clark 16113.
Council met last week and thanked Dunlap for his years of service. That meeting was recessed until 7 p.m. Jan. 22, when council hopes to appoint his replacement.
Dunlap’s term ends this year and the person appointed will serve out the year, Mrs. Parshall said.
Hermitage man charged with assaulting boy
SHARON — Sharon police have charged a Hermitage man with indecent assault and corruption of minors for alleged contact with a boy over the past three years.
Glenn Eldon Fox, 57, of 935 Maple Drive, was picked up at 10:09 a.m. Wednesday at home on a warrant from Sharon with the assistance of Hermitage police, Sharon police said Wednesday.
Fox is accused of having indecent contact with the boy, now 13, on repeated occasions at Fox’s former home on North Oakland Avenue in Sharon, police said.
Police said the boy was an acquaintance of Fox’s.
Fox was arraigned by District Judge Ronald Antos, Farrell, and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $25,000 bond.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 23 before Senior District Judge Henry Russo, Sharon.
