After they allegedly broke into McGranahan’s Plumbing and took $3,300 of copper pipes, cutting torches and a safe Friday morning, two Jamestown men were seen but not caught for the crime.
But later in the day, Ricky Thompson, 32, and Luke Lambert, 28, both of 412 Washington St., wrecked their vehicle and when Greenville-West Salem Township police responded they saw the stolen items in the vehicle, which also matched a description given by a witness to the crime.
The men were arrested and charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy. The men were arraigned by District Judge James E. McMahon and taken to Mercer County Jail, police said.
