Three people charged in connection with a police chase and shootout after a separate shooting in a Farrell bottle club will be facing charges in court.
At a preliminary hearing Friday, District Judge Ronald E. Antos, Farrell, held for court charges against these New Castle men:
• Otis M. York, 19, three counts of aggravated assault and one count each of reckless endangerment and fleeing police.
• Dominique S. Taylor, 21, 10 counts of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.
• Dajuan Dawson, 21, 10 charges of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.
All three remain in Mercer County Jail.
Three people suffered injuries that were not life-threatening in the June 1 shooting at Big E’s Social Club, 313 Union St., police said. No one has been charged in the shooting.
The men were driving cars that fled the scene and they got into a gunfight with police. The chase ended when one of the cars crashed on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, police said. The other two cars were found in New Castle, police said.
Southwest Mercer County Regional and state police filed charges.
In a case unrelated to the events of June 1, Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement charged Big E’s owner, Eric M. Branch, 42, of 197 Orchard St., Sharon, with one count of selling alcohol without a license, and four counts of storage, consumption and sale of alcohol on an unlicensed business premises.
