A 24-year-old mother of three disappeared without a trace last week.

Danielle Morton had been staying with a friend in Farrell, although she’s also lived in Hermitage and Brooklyn, N.Y.

On June 26 a friend dropped her off at New Castle Avenue and George Street in Sharon and she hasn’t been seen since.

When she didn’t pick up her three children or her Social Security check, her parents alerted police.

“The check was what alerted her parents,” Southwest Mercer County Regional Police Detective Chris Hosa said Tuesday. “When she failed to pick up her children and check, that’s when the family became worried.”

Hosa said he’s been interviewing friends, family members and others who may know where Ms. Morton might be.

Darryl and Darlene Cleveland last saw their daughter during Farrell’s Juneteenth celebration.

Cleveland called his daughter outgoing, “an average 24-year-old,” and said her children are ages 4, 2 and 8 months, and are staying at his house.

Mrs. Cleveland said her daughter’s boyfriend left the children with them after baby-sitting the day their mother was last seen.

“It’s not like a mother to leave her three kids,” Cleveland said. “It isn’t like her to do that.”

Mrs. Cleveland said her daughter likes to take her children to Buhl Farm park in Hermitage and enjoys taking them fishing and swimming during the summer.

They reported her missing on Thursday.

“Now we’re scared our daughter’s dead somewhere and we can’t find her,” Mrs. Cleveland said.

Ms. Morton is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and no scars or tattoos, Hosa said.

It isn’t known what she was wearing when she went missing.
