PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP

The cause and manner of death for the woman who died Wednesday morning after a fire in her Pymatuning Township mobile home remains undetermined.

Lori Lee Sherwood, 69, Shadeland Estates Mobile Home Park, 3652 N. Hermitage Road, Lot 36, was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the home by Mercer County Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle III.

No foul play is suspected in Ms. Sherwood’s death, which McGonigle will make a ruling on after analyzing results of her toxicology tests in about four weeks, he said Thursday.

Dr. Eric Vey, a forensic pathologist with the Erie County Coroner’s Office, performed an autopsy Wednesday afternoon, McGonigle said.

The cause of the fire, which started around 8 a.m. in the back of the home in the bathroom and laundry area, is undetermined and remains under investigation, but doesn’t appear to be suspicious, said Jan Wilson, state police fire marshal.

Firefighters said they found Ms. Sherwood’s body in the living room and were able to contain the fire to the back of the home.

Ms. Sherwood, formerly of Greenville, had just moved to the township Saturday from Damascus, Md., to be closer to her family in Greenville.
