SANDY LAKE

A 49-year-old Sandy Lake woman was killed in a two-car crash Monday afternoon.

Mercer County Deputy Coroner John Libonati said he pronounced Terri MacCartney dead at 5:40 p.m. at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. Ms. MacCartney, of 5447 Sandy Lake-Polk Road, died from head and chest injuries, Libonati said.

Ms. MacCartney was driving a car west on Franklin Street when she lost control at a curve and the car went sideways into the path of a car driven by Marsha Wissinger, 50, of Victory Road, Polk, said Sandy Lake Police Chief Donald Oakes.
