Commissioners Wednesday:

• Approved a land development plan for Visconsi Cos Ltd., Pepper Pike, Ohio, to put up a 2,600-square-foot building for a retail business on the last undeveloped lot of former Hermitage Middle School property, 115 N. Hermitage Road. The tenant has not been named.

• Approved a subdivision for John and Doris M. Apa, 3965 Hogback Road, to break off 0.172 acre from their property so it can be sold to neighbors John L. and Priscilla A. Mowry.

• Appointed these people to city authorities, boards and commissions: John Galbo, Board of Appeals; Sherry Greenburg, Board of Health; James Cardamon, Civil Service Commission; Marci Radcliffe to the Community Library of the Shenango Valley board; Meghan Flynn and Anthony Paglioroli, Community and Economic Development Commission; Rex W. Knisley and Richard W. Epstein, LindenPointe Development Commission; Edmund Benton and Jeremy Coxe, Mercer County Regional Planning Commission; Joanne Giardina, Parks and Recreation Board; Matthew C. Liburdi, Charles E. Rogers and MaryDee Wellman-Donald, city Planning Commission; Thom Kwolek, Shenango Valley Enterprise Zone Corp.; and Mark Miller, Zoning Hearing Board. Two solicitors also were appointed: John Calior, Civil Service Commission, and Roger Shaffer, Zoning Hearing Board.
