Temple seeks 17th district nod

CRAWFORD COUNTY — Gary J. Temple, 4628 Leach Road, East Fallowfield Township, said in a news release that lowering or eliminating property taxes would be part of his platform.

Temple, who holds an associate’s degree in biomedical engineering from Edinboro State University, works as a radiation thereapy engineer for the Regional Cancer Center, Erie.

He said he wants to help create jobs by promoting development of liquefied natural gas plants using the shale gas formations in the districts.

Temple formerly worked at Channelllock, Meadville; Foster Grading Construction Co., Conneaut Lake; Chicago Bridge and Iron, Greenville; and Keystone Minerals and Asphalt, Hadley.

Temple described himself as “pro-life,” and said he will work for “preservation of our lakes and water ways to promote tourism into our areas.”

Temple said he supports the wide variety of agricultural business in the district including dairy, beef, chicken, pork and grain farms as well as seed producers.

He said he will use his “lifelong experiences (to) be a voice for all of the 17th District.”
