Strimbu, Hudson to lead SRHS board

SHARON — Sharon Regional Health System’s board of directors has elected William Strimbu as chairman and John Hudson as vice chairman.

Strimbu, the president of Nick Strimbu Inc., Brookfield, heads a third-generation family business founded in 1926. The company provides flatbed and refrigerated trucking services. His company also operates a warehouse that complements the trucking business

He also is a member of the health-care provider’s physician services board.

Strimbu is active in the community, serving as a director of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio since 1994. Since 1995 he has served on the boards of Hermitage-based FNB Corp. and its affiliate, First National Bank of Pennsylvania.

He is a founding director of his family’s charitable fund, the Strimbu Memorial Fund, and serves as a trustee of the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Health and Welfare Fund.

Strimbu was elected to Sharon Regional’s board in 1997 and serves on the audit, executive, finance and pension and strategic planning committees.

Hudson is principal shareholder, president and founder of Hudson Cos., which was founded in 1977. The enterprise consists of various real estate investment, development and acquisition partnerships. Most of Hudson's real estate holdings are in Pennsylvania, with others in Texas, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio.

Also under the Hudson Cos.’ umbrella is Hudson Group Inc., a Pennsylvania company furnishing commercial general construction services throughout western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.

The corporation specializes in K-12 public schools, on-campus student housing, medical outpatient facilities, and senior living centers.

Hudson is married to the former Mariangela Bianco, with whom he has six children. They live in Hermitage and Bald Head Island, N.C.

Hudson was elected to the Sharon Regional’s board in 2004 and serves on the compensation, finance and pension, governance-nominating, joint conference, quality, and strategic planning committees.
