WEST MIDDLESEX — A 19-year-old West Middlesex man was arrested Thursday on charges that he raped a 14-year-old girl on three occasions between December and February, Southwest Mercer County Regional police said.

William J. Schwab Jr., 3525 Sharon Road, was charged with three counts each of rape, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of a minor.

He was arraigned by Senior Judge William L. Fagley, Farrell, and taken to jail for failing to post bond. A preliminary hearing was set for 2:30 p.m. March 25 in the Farrell court.

The victim filed a report Monday that Schwab had forced her to have sex, police said.

At just after midnight Thursday morning, police were dispatched to the girl’s home and told that Schwab was there and wanted to turn himself in, police said. Schwab agreed to give a statement and was taken to the police station.

Schwab admitted having sexual relations with the girl “on at least one occasion” in West Middlesex, police said.
