A third person has been charged with burglarizing two homes in Hermitage.
Juston E. Buskirk, 34, of East Palestine, Ohio, was charged this week with burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit those charges for breaking into homes Feb. 26 or 27 in the 1600 block of Winner Road and Feb. 27 in the 2300 block of Valley View Road.
Police previously charged Daniel J. Boots, 39, and Heather R. Boots, 34, both of East Palestine. All three are being held in Portage County, Ohio, on other charges.
The Bootses had admitted their involvement and named Buskirk, and he admitted his involvement March 20, police said.
Buskirk corroborated information already given by the Bootses that he kicked in the doors and that he and Heather Boots entered the homes, police said. He looked for electronics and she looked for jewelry, police said.
Daniel Boots drove them to the sites, police said.
All three admitted drug problems and Buskirk said he was using heroin and alcohol at the time of the Hermitage burglaries, police said.
Jefferson Township police said they are investigating the trio in connection with a Feb. 28 burglary in the 6900 block of Lamor Road.
