FINDLEY TOWNSHIP —
A Findley Township woman and her out-of-town boyfriend were arrested Thursday on drug charges after Grove City police found 186 bags of heroin in their motel room and the car they were driving, police said.
The car is owned by a relative of Brittany R. Pringle, which brought on police involvement.
The relative told police Pringle, 21, of 711 Springfield Church Road, had had the car for two days and she wanted it back.
The woman said she found the car at the Park Motel, 1334 W. Main St., and had heard that Pringle and her boyfriend, Brandon P. Lewis, 19, of McKeesport, had been involved in heroin dealing, police said.
Police, who were called at 8:15 a.m., said they found Lewis and Pringle in the motel room and received permission from them and the car’s owner to search the vehicle. Police said they found a digital scale “disguised as a cellular phone,” and 50 “stamp” bags of heroin in the car.
Upon obtaining a search warrant for the motel room, police said they found 50 bags of heroin in a baseboard heater, and 86 bags in a “false Pabst beer can.”
Also seized were $410 and three cellular telephones, police said.
Pringle and Lewis were arraigned by District Judge Ronald E. Antos, Farrell, on charges of possession of heroin, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver.
They were taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post bond.
A preliminary hearing was set for 1 p.m. Wednesday before District Judge D. Neil McEwen, Pine Township.
