Sharon man gets long stretch for shooting

An Editor's Notes

HERMITAGE — A Sharon man was sentenced to four to 16 years in state prison for shooting a man four times in January 2012 at a Hermitage apartment complex.

"I'd just like to apologize to the victim, the court and my family," Alfred L. Taylor told Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas R. Dobson.

Taylor, 41, formerly of Sharon, shot Wade Shaw in the hip and back on Jan. 17, 2012 in the 1400 block of Bolde Drive.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault in February.

"There's no tolerance for error the rest of your life," Dobson told Taylor during the April 26 sentencing.

He was given credit for 309 days served in jail.
