DELAWARE TOWNSHIP —
A Greenville woman was killed Wednesday morning when she lost control of her car on state Route 58 in Delaware Township and it hit a tree, police said.
State police said Juliana M. Denzinger, 26, of 101 Alhambra Place, was pronounced dead at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after the 9:35 a.m. crash.
Police said Ms. Denzinger’s eastbound car left the roadway and it appeared that when she steered back onto the road the car began to slide. It slid completely off the road and into a yard, where it hit a tree just west of Line Road, police said, adding Ms. Denzinger was not wearing a seat belt.
State police, along with police from Mercer and from Jefferson and Hempfield townships, plus Fredonia and Jefferson Township firefighters assisted.
