Wreckage of car found, driver pronounced dead at scene

WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP — A 24-year-old Greenville man was pronounced dead Sunday morning at the scene of a one-car crash on Probst Road in West Salem Township, Mercer County Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle said.

It wasn’t known when the crash occured, but a neighbor reported the wreckage Sunday morning, McGonigle said.

Clyde Vincent Fragapane II of Greenville was ejected from the Chrysler PT Cruiser after it rolled over, McGonigle said.

Fragapane died of head injuries, he said.

McGonigle pronounced Fragapane dead at 8:30 a.m.

Greenville-West Salem Township police are investigating the crash. They didn’t release any details about it Sunday.
