A pulsing rhythm fills the school gym as several boys whack blue drums almost as tall as they are while another bangs a pot lid on a bent up cake pan and a few girls shake what look like taped up parmesan cheese canisters.
The sound would be deafening if the tunes weren’t so catchy as kids banged on plastic 55-gallon drums, pots and pans and pieces of pipe at a recent rehearsal of Sharon’s C.M. Musser Elementary STOMP ensemble.
