Dennis David Dickson, a loving husband, proud father, devoted son and loyal brother of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly in his home Saturday (2-8-14). He was 52.
Mr. Dickson was born June 11, 1961, to Mary Ann Mizicko and the late Don C. Dickson.
He was a 1979 graduate of Brookfield High School, where he excelled in varsity basketball. He attended Youngstown State University and studied to become an emergency medical technician.
Dennis was in partnership with his brother as co-owner/operator of D&D Landscaping and Excavating Inc., Brookfield, established in 1982, and he actively worked on the family farm.
He was an avid supporter of Badger school athletics as well as supporting extended family activities. In his free time, he relished water skiing, boating, fishing and hunting with family and friends.
Dennis was a yearly actor of the Boar’s Head performance at Orangeville United Methodist Church.
A friend to everyone, he was thoughtful, caring and generous. His big-hearted nature will be a loss to many.
Dennis will be immensely missed by his wife of 22 years, Cynthia (Lyons) Dickson; his children, Skye Lyons, St. Cloud, Fla.; and Devan, Dylan and Cheyanne, all at home; his mother, Mary Ann Dickson, Brookfield; his siblings, Dawn Thompson and her husband Robert, Hubbard; Rick Dickson and his wife Bonnie, Brookfield; Daryl Dickson and his wife Lisa, Brookfield; and Traci Hill and her husband Jeff, Hubbard.
He will also be missed by his in-laws, Joe and Peg Lyons, Sandy Lake; Candace Burnette, Stoneboro; Joe Lyons and his wife Tracy, Sandy Lake; and Bill Lyons and his wife Jacque, Slippery Rock; his 14 nieces and nephew and six great-nieces and -nephews; and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
