Joseph Marini

Steelworker was member of New Beginnings church


- — Joseph Marini, West Salem Township, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at his residence. He was 85.

Joseph was born in Italy June 25, 1928, a son of Nicola and Olympia Marini.

He was a member of New Beginnings Christian Church, a former member of Christian Assembly Church, and a lifetime member of the Italian Home Club, all of Greenville.

Joseph was a working guy. He was a steelworker for 43 years at the former Shenango Furnace in Sharpsville.

When he wasn’t working, he liked to go to air and car shows. He also did autobody work at home in his spare time.

He was married to Clara Bell Wasilko Marini; she preceded him in death on June 13, 2001.

Joseph is survived by: a son, Seabrook Marini and his wife Carrie, Sandy Lake; two grandsons, Kyle and Nicholas Marini, Sandy Lake; a sister, Mary White and her husband, Fred, and two brothers, Alfred Marini and his wife Helen, and Paul Marini and his wife Sandy, all of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Nettie Marini, also Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Carbo, and two brothers, Marty and Bo Marini.
