Thomas Joseph Cave

Longtime Sharon man co-owned upholstery shop

- — MECHANICSBURG – Thomas Joseph Cave, formerly of Sharon, entered eternal rest on Wednesday morning, Jan. 8, 2014. He was 78.

Mr. Cave was born April 29, 1935, in Sharon to Daniel and Anna Cave.

He was an active member and usher of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing golf and spent many afternoons perfecting his golf game at what was then commonly known as Dum-Dum in Sharon.

Thomas enjoyed watching football with his grandsons. He loved technology and was always keeping up with the newest technological trends. He especially enjoyed “face time” with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thomas spent many summers at the beach with his family.  He was devoted to his wife and loved spending long afternoons with her, especially taking her out to lunch. He was the life of the party and loved to tell jokes and play pranks. He touched the life of everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert Cave and Richard Cave.

Thomas is survived by his adoring wife, Joanne; his brother, James Cave; and his sister, Margaret Tate; his daughter, Susan (Cave) and her husband Daniel Daisley; his daughter, Paula (Cave) Zreliak; his grandchildren, Kelly (Daisley) and her husband Patrick Duck; Jill (Daisley) and her husband Matt Andrechik; Nicole Zreliak and her fiancé Clayton Boyle; Sam Daisley and his wife April; and Mark Zreliak and his wife Chelsey; his great-grandchildren, Sasha, Samantha, Lucas, Molly and Emma; and his best friend and loyal dog, Gabby.
