Barbara C. Bator Yonchak

Hermitage homemaker was St. Ann’s member

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday for Barbara C. Bator Yonchak, 2106 Stafford St., Hermitage. She died of natural causes at 9 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, in Hamlet Manor Nursing Home, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She was 90.

Mrs. Yonchak was born Oct. 2, 1915, in Farrell to Jacob and Pauline Vasanko Bator.

A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, baking and playing cards with her family and friends.

Mrs. Yonchak was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Farrell.

Her husband, Peter Yonchak, whom she married Aug. 13, 1936, survives.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Barbara Ann Matiaska, wife of Ernest, Willoughby, Ohio; and Jacqueline Kramer, wife of John, Russell, Ohio; five grandchildren, Doug Matiaska, Carla Kehres and her husband Jim; and Kelly Ferris and her husband Jason; Kimberly Black and her husband Todd; and Janet Hodgson; and six great-grandchildren, Will and Emma Kehres; Ethan, Kyle and Zachary Ferris; and Meghan Black.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Stephen, John, Paul and Michael Bator; and three sisters, Pauline Lucas, Ann Hlavick and Sophie Thomas.
