---- — Mary Jayne Patton, formerly of Barkeyville and Winfield Drive, Grove City, died at 1:11 p.m. Saturday (9-7-13) in Grove Manor, Grove City. She was 92.

She was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Butler, a daughter of Matthew A. and Nellie A. Campbell Skinner.

She was a graduate of Butler High School.

A homemaker, she married Loyal R. Patton on Oct. 10, 1945; he passed away on May 6, 1994.

She was a member of First Church of God, Barkeyville, and a lifetime member of the women’s auxiliary of Grove City Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 159.

Surviving are: four children, Nancy J. Covert and her husband Joseph, and Rodger L. Patton and his wife Peggy, all Grove City; Darlene J. Covington and her husband Michael, Odessa, Texas; and Alvin D. Patton and his fiancée Marcia Miller, Barkeyville; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two half brothers, Lavern and George Snyder.

Service: Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday (9-11-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating.

Burial: Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Grove City.
