LTV Steel retiree was Army veteran

Kenneth R. Krepps, Line Road, Jefferson Township, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Sunday (9-8-13) in UPMC-Passavant, McCandless. He was 77.

Kenneth was born Aug. 25, 1936, in Franklin Township, Allegheny County, a son of Russell D. and Mildred M. Sarver Krepps.  

On June 21, 1963, he married the former Jewel Lee McFarland, who preceded him in death Aug. 4, 1994.  

Kenneth served with the U.S. Army.

He retired from the former LTV Steel, Aliquippa Works.  

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving are: a son, Jamie D. Krepps and his wife Mary, Pulaski; a sister, Elaine Ward, Cranberry Township, Butler County; a half sister Tricia Foltz, Philadelphia; and two granddaughters, Kendra Nicole Krepps and Danielle Lee Krepps of Pulaski.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a sister Marion Blanchard.

Service: Funeral service at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Eric M. Peters, pastor of Fredonia Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment: Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia.
