Shelbie Lyn Collins Hodil

WMHS graduate studied at county Career Center


- — A funeral service will be held Saturday for Shelbie Lyn Collins Hodil of Masury, formerly of West Middlesex. She passed away unexpectedly at 7:37 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 28.

Mrs. Hodil was born Jan. 17, 1986, in New Castle, a daughter of Gary and Kellie Harry Collins.

She was a 2005 graduate of West Middlesex High School and had attended Mercer County Career Center where she had studied for employment in the personal care field.

Shelbie enjoyed scrapbooking, bowling, watching scary movies and spending time outdoors when the weather was nice.

She leaves behind: her beloved husband, Michael D. Hodil, whom she married Aug. 14, 2004; a daughter, Kylie Lyn Hodil; her father, Gary Collins, Hermitage; her mother, Kellie Jones, Arizona; her stepfather, Donny Jones, West Middlesex; two brothers, Christopher Pappas, West Middlesex; and Coy Collins, Arizona; a sister, Elayne Jones, West Middlesex; and her grandparents, Robert and Lynn Harry, Hermitage.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
