Patrick John Vaccaro

Sharon native was Army vet, sold cars, real estate

---- — POLAND, Ohio -- Patrick John Vaccaro of Liberty Township, Trumbull County, passed on Monday, April 1, 2013, in Hospice House in Poland. He was 66.

Mr. Vaccaro was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Sharon, a son of Patrick and Julia Ross Vaccaro.

He attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Sharon High School. He continued his education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Serving during the Vietnam conflict, Patrick entered the U.S. Army on Nov. 17, 1966, and was assigned to the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Upon serving his country, he was honorably discharged Nov. 16, 1968. 

After returning to civilian life, he began his career as a loan officer with Peoples Bank of Youngstown. He later relocated to Orlando, Fla., where he was successful in real estate. Patrick had the privilege of joining the “Million Dollar Listing Club.”

When he returned to the Shenango Valley, Patrick spent the remainder of his career in the automobile industry. He was general sales manager for Shenango Honda and retired from the sales and leasing department in December 2012.

Patrick will always be remembered for his wit and personality that made him so successful in sales.

He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and had the pleasure of visiting with many former players.

Patrick leaves his beloved wife, Jill Routman Vaccaro; his son, Patrick J. Vaccaro, Sharon; his sister, Camille, wife of David MacHarg, Hermitage; his niece, his nephew and his many relatives he so enjoyed spending time with at family gatherings.

Preceding Patrick in death were his parents and his devoted and loyal shih tzu, Bailey Isadore, with whom he has chosen to be laid to rest.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Patrick to Hospice of the Valley, American Cancer Society or to the Congregation Rodef Sholom.

VACCARO

Patrick John, 66, Liberty Township, Trumbull County.

Calling hours and service: At the request of Patrick, there will be no formal funeral service.

Burial: Private interment will be held in Florida.
