Paul C. Swope

SATEC retiree lived in Springfield Township


---- — Paul C. Swope of Blacktown Road, Springfield Township (Grove City), passed away at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. He was 98.

Mr. Swope was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Butler County, a son of David John Swope and Dora Keefer Swope.

He graduated in 1933 from Grove City High School and retired as a laborer from SATEC of Grove City.

Paul enjoyed gardening, woodworking and playing the harmonica.

His wife, the former Mary Blanche Cross, whom he married Sept. 9, 1940, died March 7, 1998.

Surviving are two daughters, Twila Ruth Knight and Joyce Ann Palm, both Springfield Township; and three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, a grandson, six sisters and five brothers.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (4-12-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Dixon, pastor of Grove City Alliance Church, officiating.

Interment: Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
