Mary H. Yesko

Ex-Sharon homemaker was St. Stan’s member

- — Mary H. Yesko, formerly of Sharon, passed away at 2:27 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage. She was 88.

Mrs. Yesko was born May 29, 1925, in Sharon to Michael and Anna Ciganoc Harkulich.

Mary graduated from Sharon High School in 1943.

She worked for nine years as a stenographer at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon.

Mary enjoyed reading, playing bingo, taking day trips with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, music, dancing and family holiday get-togethers. She constantly had a smile on her face and was always laughing.

Her husband, John J. Yesko Sr., whom she married Sept. 16, 1950, passed away Aug. 16, 2002.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna M. Ramsey and her husband Donald, Hermitage; three sons, John J. “Butch” Yesko Jr., Hermitage; Rick A. Yesko, Farrell; and Robert S. Yesko and his wife Jennifer, Sharpsville; two sisters, Anne Gartner, Farrell; and Margaret Cione, Sharon; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Michael, John, George, Andrew and Joseph Harkulich.
