Gale C. Lees

OK Corral employee had variety of jobs, volunteered


- — Gale C. Lees of Stoneboro (Worth Township) passed away at 3:29 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after an extended illness. He was 58.

Mr. Lees was born April 25, 1955, in Grove City to John C. and Gloria Jean Park Lees.

He attended Lakeview High School.

In his early years, Gale worked for Foster Grading Co. of Jackson Center and also for several years at Eat’n Park of Grove City and Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. He was currently working at OK Corral of Stoneboro.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Gale was very detail-oriented and was meticulous in taking care of his home and the landscaping. He always kept a very clean car.

Gale enjoyed volunteering at Lakeview Area Helping Hands.

Most of all, he was a loving son, father, brother and uncle.

He is survived by: a daughter, Tammy Lynn Case, Rockwell, Texas; a son, Christopher Lees and his wife Aromie, Tokyo, Japan; four grandchildren, Mie and Kazuya Lees, both Tokyo; and Dylan and Kaleigh Case, both Rockwell; his mother, Gloria, Stoneboro; and a sister, Denise Stevenson and her husband Edward, Titusville.

Gale was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Margaret Park; and his paternal grandparents, Don and Grace Lees.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

Calling hours: 10 a.m. to time of service Thursday (10-31-13) in SCOTT A. BLACK FUNERAL HOME, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro.

Service: Funeral and committal service at noon Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Susan M. Hoover, pastor, Methodists United in Faith, officiating.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
