Robert W. Shilling

Former Stoneboro man had sisters living here


- — GREENSBORO, N.C. – Robert W. Shilling, formerly of Stoneboro, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, after a short illness. He was 69.

Born May 15, 1944, in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Mr. Shilling was a son of Clifford E. and Margaret A. Richardson Shilling.

Mr. Shilling worked for many years in Greensboro in the furniture sales industry.

He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.

He leaves behind: his former wife, Marie Shilling and her family, all Greensboro; four sisters, Dolores A. Swogger, Mercer; Betty J. Whitehouse, Stoneboro; Juanita L. Boyer and her husband Bill; and Karen E. Swarner, all Mercer; and a brother, Clifford E. Shilling and his wife Barbara, Millington, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Connie Renee Shilling.
