Susan ‘Suey’ Althea Hicklin

Lackawannock Township woman enjoyed shopping


- — Susan “Suey” Althea Hicklin, 26 Kirkland Drive, Lot 29, Lackawannock Township, passed away at her residence on Tuesday (12-31-13).  She was 42.

She was born in Farrell on Jan. 31, 1971, to Herbert and Linda Christy Hicklin. She was a former newspaper carrier for The Herald in Sharon and was a member of Shenango Valley Church of God.

She was natural-born shopper. Suey was the most loving, caring, kind person that you would ever meet in your whole life. She loved her dogs, Lilly Bean and Blaze. She loved all her friends and family. Suey, you will be sadly missed.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Albert and Thelma Christy; her paternal grandparents, Art and Olive Hicklin; a stepfather, Joseph Bowser Jr.; a stepbrother, John Allan Bowser; and a sister, Dorothy “Dotty” Hicklin.

She is survived by her fiance, Gary Davensizer, at home; her mother, Linda Bowser, Transfer; her father and stepmother, Herbert and Wanda Hicklin, Hermitage; a sister, Linda “Ninny” Hicklin, Transfer; two brothers, David Hicklin, Pittsburgh; and Joseph Bowser III and his wife Melissa, South Pymatuning Township; three nieces, Shannon “Shampoo” O’Brien, Rebecca Wagner and Alexis Lightner; and two special children she helped rear, Corey and Alexis Metz.

Calling hours: 11 a.m. to time of service Friday (1-3-14) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.

Service: Funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Robinson, pastor of The Chapel at Mercer, officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Sharon.
