Jacqueline “Jackie” J. Jones of Brookfield, entered eternal peace at 12:20 p.m. Sunday (6-1-14) in her home while surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 7, 1929, in her grandma’s home in Hubbard, a daughter to James Vincent and Mary Cross Furillo.
A 1947 graduate of Hubbard High School, she married her love, Thomas Jones Jr. on June 10, 1950, and together they started a family.
A very devoted wife and mother, she was proud to be a homemaker for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, making crafts, crocheting and taking care of her family, as well as gardening and canning.
Survivors include: her children, Charles L. Jones and his wife Patricia, Hubbard; Thomas M. Jones and his wife JoAnne, Arizona; and Vickie Jones-Neeson and her husband Justin, with whom she made her home; her brothers, Richard Furillo, Brookfield; and Robert Furillo, Richmond, Va.; her grandson, Charles T. Jones; and her step-grandchildren, Abbie and Joseph Watson, and Timothy Wikoff.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, who passed Nov. 13, 1993; and her sister, Elizabeth Jane Coughenour.
As an expression of sympathy, her family requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44515.

Calling hours: Time of gathering in Jackie’s honor from 10 a.m. to time of service Thursday (6-5-14) in Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield.
Service: Her celebration continues with a memorial service at noon Thursday in the church.
Laid to rest: Brookfield Township Cemetery with her husband, the love of her life.
