BELOIT, Wis. – R. Catherine “Kitty” Mathews Person of Brodhead, Wis., formerly of Rockford, Ill., and Masury, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was 95.
Mrs. Person was born July 21, 1918, in Hidalgo, Ill., to Samuel and Ada Turner Mathews.
Her husband of 65 years, Glenn H. Person, whom she married Nov. 14, 1936, in Belvidere, Ill., is deceased.
Kitty was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Pittsburgh; Alpine Lutheran Church, Rockford; and Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon.
Kitty is survived by: her children, Linda and her husband Ken Zwicke, Beach Park, Ill.; Judy and her husband Ron Baney, Machesney Park, Ill.; and Dale Person and his wife Debby, Brodhead; her grandchildren, Keith Brody and his wife Kim, Independence, Ohio; and Dalaura Person Hanner, Rock City, Ill.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Glenn, she was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Paul Mathews, husband of Jane; Joe Mathews, husband of Amy; Alice, wife of Fred Everett; and her grandson, Kevin Brody.
