Bernard James ‘BJ’ duMaire

Equipment operator, truck driver served in A.B.A.T.E.

- — Mr. duMaire was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Youngstown, a son to Arnold J. and Patricia A. Patrick duMaire.

A 1977 graduate from Hubbard High School, he worked as a self-employed heavy-equipment operator. He also found employment with the Hubbard Township Road Department and Hubbard Police Department as a mechanic, as well as with McDaniel Trucking Co., Hubbard, as a truck driver.

His memberships included being a life member of National Rifle Association and A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania, for which he was the state coordinator for the past two years. He was active as a hunter and trapper teacher in Ohio through the Hubbard Conservation Club.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars and motorcycles.

Survivors include: his son, Bernard J. duMaire II; his daughters, Tamie and Angela duMaire; and his brothers, Patrick, John and Joseph duMaire, all Hubbard; his sisters, Cindy Long, Cortland; Ginger Hutchings, Lakeland, Fla.; Kelly Scott, Champion, Ohio; Terri Bokor, Bay City, Texas; and Wendy Clark, Hollywood, Fla.; and his four grandchildren, Dominic, Alexis, Alyssa and Mathew.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
