William “Billy” C. Marks Jr. of Hubbard passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 11, 2014, at home. He was 48.
He was born on July 9, 1965 in Cherry Point, N.C. He graduated from Farrell High School Class of 1983 and attended Penn State University.
William worked as manager of the Bio Medical Department for Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon.
He was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage, where he served as an usher. William was a member of the Italian Home in Farrell. He was an accomplished bowler and had a 300 game, was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed Farrell High School football where he videotaped games. He liked coin collecting and loved religious icons.
William is survived by: his father William C. Marks Sr. of Farrell and his mother Margaret “Greta” A. (Kohl) Marks of Hubbard, Ohio; a son Brenton Cottle, Columbus, Ohio; a sister Deborah A. Marks, Sharon and her companion Kurt Chester of Farrell; a brother Rev. Father Kevin E. Marks, Pastor of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church; 4 nieces Shayna (Ralph) Odem, Janayia Chester, SaVanah Chester, Kurtasia Chester; a great-nephew Sincere Chester-McCormick; and a grandson Elijah.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather John Kohl; grandmother Margaret Kohl; grandfather Frank Marks; grandmother Anna Marks, and an uncle, Jack Kohl.

Service: Parastas prayer service will be offered at 3 p.m. Wednesday (4-16-14) in the funeral home. Panachida prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday (4-17-14) in the funeral home. Holy Thursday Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (4-17-14) at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, with his brother, Father Kevin E. Marks, officiating.
Burial: St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
