Mira Solic of Hermitage passed away Tuesday evening, July 23, 2013, in her home. She was 87.
Mrs. Solic was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Nis, Serbia.
Mira owned and operated a women’s dress shop at Oakland Avenue and George Street, Sharon, in the 1960s. She then went to work for the former Cohen’s Store, in Sharon, where she was a seamstress.
Mira was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Hermitage.
She was very passionate about being a prisoner of war during World War II in Germany prior to coming to the U.S. in 1951.
Her husband, Jovan Solic, whom she married in Germany in 1945, passed away in 2000.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. today (7-25-13) in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Hermitage, with Proto Milovan Katanic, pastor, officiating. Everyone attending is asked to meet at the church.
Burial: St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery, Hermitage.
