---- — A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday for Marilyn L. Murdock, 294 Donation Road, Hempfield Township, who passed away Saturday evening (7-27-13) in her home after a 4è-year battle with cancer. She was 76.

She was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Harrison City, Pa., to Jacob W. and Stella B. (Baughman) Hill.

She married Rodney E. Murdock on May 29, 1959. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2010.

She was a 1954 graduate of Sewickly Township High School, Westmoreland County, and was a 1957 graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her registered nursing degree.

She was employed as a part-time nurse at the former Greenville Regional Hospital for more than 20 years.

She was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship, West Salem Township, where she was active with the church’s gardening club and visitation ministry. She also volunteered with the “His Work His Way” program and participated in a medical missions trip to the Dominican Republic in March.

She was a passionate flower gardener on her property for more than 50 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Alison Enokian and her husband Thomas, Baltimore; Jenyl Arisman and her husband Mark, Kingsville, Md.; and Heidi Dolinich and her husband Scott, Ligonier, Pa.; a brother, Leland L. Hill and his wife Willa, Fayetteville, Tenn; and eight grandchildren, Samantha Enokian, Thomas Enokian, Jacob Arisman, Hannah Arisman, Caleb Arisman, Matthew Arisman, Ian Dolivich and Nicholas Dolinich.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
