Homemaker was family’s rock, like to knit, travel


---- — Beverly Ann (Fair) Swartz, of Nych Road, Lackawannock Township, New Wilmington, died Monday afternoon, July 1, 2013 in Sharon Regional Health System. She was 69.

Mrs. Swartz was born Oct. 20, 1943 in West Middlesex to Curtis Russell Fair and Shirley Welsh Fair.

She was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township, Mercer.

Beverly was committed to her family. She enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting and knitting blankets and sweater sets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved gardening, canning, traveling, family reunions and cookouts. She made every holiday special. She was the family rock.

She will be missed and remembered always. We will all be together again as a family one day.

Beverly is survived by: her husband Willis Jerald Swartz at home; two daughters, Faith Ellen Eckard, Mercer, Kristi Ann Snyder and her companion Brian P. Montgomery, Sharon; two sons, Curtis Merle Swartz and his companion Rebecca Bonnema, Sharpsville, and Willis Jerald Swartz II and his wife Betty, New Wilmington; her mother, Shirley Fair, Hermitage; and 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Also surviving: a sister, Mary Ellen Gilmore, West Middlesex; and two brothers, Edward Fair and his wife Jackie, West Middlesex, and Robert Fair and his wife Shirley, Sharpsville.

She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Jerali Ann Swartz; and one grandson, Michael Robert Eckard II.

Calling hours: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday (7-4-13) and 10 a.m. Friday (7-5-13) at the SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday (7-5-13) with the Reverend Wade Barto, pastor of West Middlesex United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
