Margaret Rebecca Barlett of Slippery Rock died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after a long illness. She was 79.
She was born July 3, 1934, in Mosgrove, Pa., (Boggs Township, Armstrong County), a daughter of Calvin Raymond Patton and Elsie Amelia Kammerdiner Patton.
She married James E. Barlett on Jan. 11, 1952. He survives at home.
Mrs. Barlett formerly was a nurse’s aide at the former Bashline Hospital, Grove City.
She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Slippery Rock branch. She was a former president of the relief society and church librarian.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Barlett is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Michel and husband Randall, Harrisville; and a son, Raymond Barlett, Slippery Rock; four grandchildren, Renne Burns and her husband Rob, Franklin; Heather York, Granbury, Texas; Ashley Missledine and her husband Shiloh, Prattville, Ala.; and Amber McCrumb and her husband Bryan, New Castle; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Daniel Michel; a great-granddaughter, Hannah York, and a sister, Annabelle Beck.
