Margaret Giocolo

Hermitage woman retired from Westinghouse


- — Margaret Giocolo of Clifford Drive, Hermitage, passed away at 12:23 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in her residence. She was 87.

Mrs. Giocolo was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Hubbard, a daughter of Andrew and Margaret Kuhn.

She was a graduate of Hubbard High School.

Margaret retired from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where she was employed in the office for many years.

Margaret was of the Catholic faith. She looked forward to family and friends stopping by to visit with her.

Her husband, Fred “Cole” Giocolo, passed away in September 1998.

She is survived by two sons, Gregory Giocolo, Sharon; and Frederick Giocolo, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a sister, Elsie Kun,  Youngstown.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Chris Giocolo; and a brother, Andrew Kuhn.

The family requests anyone who would like to make a memorial contribution to please have a Mass said in her name at St. Joseph’s Church, Sharon.

Calling hours and service: In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Inurnment: Cremation in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon, with inurnment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
