Lucy Mary Deal passed away peacefully on July 12, 2014, at the age of 99, in Tampa, Fla.
Lucy was born Sept. 5, 1914, in Hubbard to Joseph and Rosaria Pagliaroli. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1932 and then from Sharon Business School.
Lucy worked for the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. and retired after 33è years of service.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, Sharpsville, and the St. Olivia Society.
Lucy was a past president of the American Business Women’s Association and also a past president of the Sharpsville Firemen’s Auxiliary. She also was a volunteer for Sharon Regional Health System.
Some of her hobbies included being an avid bowler and card player. She belonged to three bowling leagues and two card clubs. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind a son, George Deal and his wife and her daughter-in-law Jo, Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tom Deal (Jeanne), Susan Wood and Janet Zambito, all Tampa; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Bass (Johnny), Joey Zambito and Jenna Zambito; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaime Wood Jr., Charleston, S.C.; and Philippa Wood, Jamie Grace and Robert Gamble, all Tampa; and three great-great-grandchildren, Delaynie Bass, Peyton Bass and Wyatt Gamble, all Tampa.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Clifton Deal; her parents, Joseph and Rosaria Pagliaroli; her sisters, Anna Bonaquist and Mae Pancione; and her brother, Vincent Pagliaroli.
She often said how lucky she was to have been blessed with such wonderful relatives, friends and neighbors.
