Robert ‘Robbie’ John Nagy Jr.

San Diego native loved Chargers, animals

- — Robert “Robbie” John Nagy Jr., 44, of Masury entered eternal rest after passing away Friday (5-30-14) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Robbie was born Nov. 9, 1969, in San Diego to his devoted mother, Shawnie Nagy, and father, Robert Nagy Sr.

Passionate about his children, Robbie wanted nothing more than their happiness. Robbie, a very loving, dedicated father, would have given his three children the world.

Robbie kept his grandmother, Beverly Morey, close to his heart; he valued her opinions and would do anything to lend her a helping hand.

Anyone who knew Robbie was aware of his passion for the San Diego Chargers and for his love of animals, especially his daughter Rachel’s childhood dog, Cupcake.

Robbie is survived by his parents, Shawnie Nagy and Robert Nagy Sr.; his grandparents, Beverly Morey and Bert Winger; his three children: Robert Porter, of Niles, Ohio (26); Rachel Nagy, of Howland, Ohio (18); and Riley Nagy, of Sharon (2); and many cousins and friends.

Robbie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Toni Nagy; his grandfather, Walt Nagy Sr.; his uncle, Walt Nagy Jr.; and his aunt, Anna Marie “Cookie” Nagy.

Robbie was loved by many and will be greatly missed but never forgotten in our hearts.

A ceremony, in memory of Robbie, will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in the Movement Church, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles, Ohio (Eastwood Mall Complex; behind Sears). Cremation has taken place.
