She was born Oct. 3, 1922 in Oil City, a daughter of John and Mary Sajatovich Abranovich.

During World War II, she worked as “Rosie the Riveter” at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where she installed components into torpedo housing as part of the war effort.

She enjoyed volunteering her time for many years as a member of the former Farrell Kiwaniannes.

She loved her cats, her garden, baking, tole painting, sewing and, most of all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the time they shared together.

She married Frank John Secich on July 27, 1946, in St. Anthony’s Parish, Sharon. He preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Cinda “Cindy” Secich Wilpula and her husband Don, Mercer; Frank Joseph Secich and his wife Lisa, Hermitage; and Maryann Secich Hartmann and her husband Gerald, Keno, Ore. She also leaves nine grandchildren, John Wilpula and his wife Kristie, Tracy Wilpula Reckless and her husband Dale, David Wilpula and his wife Elizabeth, Nicholas Wilpula and his wife Micah, Mary Beth Wilpula and her fiancé Daniel Sherman, David Hartmann and his wife Megan, Michael Hartmann and his wife Tina Eng, Kristen Hartmann and her husband Guillaume Pichot, and Jacob Secich.
