Marguerite Magline Paige

Ex-local woman worked in therapy field, taught kids


- — YOUNGSTOWN – Marguerite Magline Paige, formerly of Hubbard and Sharpsville, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Thursday (1-9-14) in Park Vista of Youngs-town. She was 89.

Miss Paige was born July 24, 1924, in Sharpsville to Herbert B. Paige Sr. and Florence Carrot Paige.

An alumna of Sharpsville High School, she graduated from the School of Occupational Therapy, Columbus, Ohio; and attended a business college in Decatur, Ill.

Miss Paige was employed as an O.T.A.L. in occupational therapy at Hillside Hospital, Warren, Ohio. She also taught at Buhl Center preschool and kindergarten in Farrell, and held various other employment during her career.

Miss Paige moved to Hubbard in 1962.

A homemaker, she was a member of Second Baptist Church, Sharpsville, and graduated from Second Baptist Bible School.

Miss Paige loved children and helping others and animals. She loved living on Lincoln Avenue in Hubbard because of the animals that ran through her yard. She also enjoyed cooking, listening to the radio, traveling and watching TV.

Having no children, Miss Paige raised her two nieces, her brother’s daughters, Charlene L. Paige and Diana D. Paige, both Youngstown.

She also leaves several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends in the Shenango Valley, Youngstown and Warren areas.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Franklin and Herbert, both Hubbard; Ray, Decatur; and Odell, Warren; a stepbrother, Ernest Paige, Sharon; and a stepsister, Myrtle Louise Williams, Cleveland.
