Naomi Whitehead Lowe

Farrell homemaker liked to listen to music, cook


- — A memorial service will be held Thursday for Naomi Whitehead Lowe of 803 Fruit Ave., Farrell. She passed away at 1:08 p.m. Sunday (1-19-13) in her home after a brief illness. She was 56.

Mrs. Lowe was born March 6, 1957, in what is now the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System to Sylvester and Clara Mae Samuels Whitehead.

She was a graduate of Farrell High School.

A homemaker, Mrs. Lowe was a loving, caring and wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed listening to music and cooking.

Her husband, James D. Lowe Sr., survives in Sharon.

Surviving are: three daughters, Yvonne Nixon and Jennifer Lowe, both Sharon; and Teresa Whitehead, Youngstown; a son, James D. Lowe Jr., Farrell; three grandchildren whom she reared, Adrian Baker Jr., also Farrell; Talajsha Whitehead, Warren, Ohio; and Taysja Whitehead, Farrell; a sister, Arleen Somerville, Farrell; two brothers, Lester Whitehead and his wife Theresa; and Albert Whitehead and his wife Claudell, all Sharon; and 11 grandchildren.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday (1-23-14) in Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ, Farrell, with Asst. Supt. Elder Tyrone Steals, pastor, officiating.
