Alice Potock Spondike

Louisiana woman was born in Sharon


- — Mrs. Spondike was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Sharon to Walter Joseph and Elizabeth Zavada Potock.

She was an excellent golfer, loved the outdoors and was a fantastic cook. Mrs. Spondike loved dancing and had a wonderful voice. She never met a stranger and was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Matkovich.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nicholas Spondike Jr. and her children, Nicholas Spondike III and his wife Beverly and Allyson Leslie Spondike Longo and her husband Tom; grandsons Nicholas Spondike IV and Nathan Dale Spondike and his wife Susan; a great-granddaughter, Reagen Ellyce Spondike; a brother, Walter J. Potock and his wife Judy; her granddogs, Bandit, Ripple, Roni and Boomer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, La.
