Sharon resident was Sharpsville graduate


- — A memorial service will be held today for Judith A. Davey, 606 Spruce Ave., Sharon. She passed away peacefully at 3:15 p.m. Saturday (1-25-14) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. She was 73.

Ms. Davey was born May 25, 1940, in Sharon, a daughter of Charles and Ann Elkes Kazimir.

She was raised in Sharpsville and graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1958.

She was employed in her younger years at the popular Shenango Inn on Kimberly Road in Sharon, where she worked in the laundry department. Judith also worked at the former Murphy’s five and dime on East State Street in downtown Sharon.

She leaves: her companion of more than 40 years, Charles G. Geiwitz, with whom she made her home; her seven children, Debbie L. Fette (David), Sharon; Toni L. Davey (Robert Collins), Mercer; Joan M. Sager (William), Pace, Fla.; Edward C. Davey, Lakeville, Minn.; Michael J. Davey, Farrell; Mark C. Davey, Sharon; and Clifford “CC” Geiwitz (Deborah), Hampton, Va.; a sister, Bonnie Thalman (William), Sharpsville; and 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Robert Kazimir; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Wilson.

Service: Memorial service at noon today in the church with the Rev. Jeff Smith, pastor, officiating.
