Mary Lewis Kovach Jergler of 6 Fairview Drive, West Middlesex, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 81.
Mrs. Jergler was born March 13, 1929, in Sharon to Paul and Mary Schwartz Kovach.
She attended Sharon High school.
Mrs. Jergler was a life member of St. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon and belonged to AARP, a retired person’s organization and a Thursday night bowling league. She loved playing cards and games as well as bowling.
She was a compassionate, kind, thoughtful and loving friend and will be remembered as a wonderful mother, nana and great-nana.
Her first husband, John William Lewis, whom she married Feb. 24, 1947, passed away Feb. 18, 1994. Her second husband, William Jergler, whom she married June 6, 1997, survives at the residence.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Deborah Benson and her husband Jeff, Colstrip, Mont.; a granddaughter, Amber Leigh Binns and her husband Jeffrey, Lander, Wyo.; a great-grandson, Landyn Benson, Colstrip, Mont.; and two brothers, Paul Kovach, Bessler, Pa.; and John Kovach, Transfer.
Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David John Lewis; and two grandsons, Zachary David Benson and Spenser John Benson.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
