R. Pauline Kreps of 4 Quarry St., Greenville, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Friday (2-14-14) in White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township, where she had been a resident for the past three weeks. She was 95.
Mrs. Krepps was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Orangeville, Ohio, to George and Mary Foulk Troutman.
She was a 1936 graduate of the former Penn High School, Greenville, and was a 1937 graduate of the former Shenango Valley Commercial Institute, Sharon.
She was employed for 25 years as a bookkeeper for Gibson Furniture Co., Greenville.
Mrs. Kreps was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ in Greenville.
She was a former member of Greenville Organ Club and enjoyed playing bridge and bowling, actively participating in Greenville First National Bank women’s bowling team.
After retirement, she was a volunteer at the hospitality shop at the former Greenville Regional Hospital.
Pauline and her husband enjoyed traveling and toured Germany, the Netherlands and Hawaii. She was a very loving wife and mother.
Her husband, Wm. Gregg Kreps, whom she married March 14, 1941, passed away in 2007.
Surviving are: a daughter, Ruth A. Kreps, and a son, William G. Kreps III, both Greenville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
