W. Paul Dove

Air traffic controller was Faith Presbyterian member

---- — W. Paul Dove of Hermitage passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (6-18-13) in St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital while visiting his family. He was 84.

Paul was born Dec. 25, 1928, in New Kensington, Pa., the son of Thomas and Hazel Kaiser Dove.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was a radio operator in a rescue squadron; he served seven years and was honorably discharged.

For 37 years he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller at what is now the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, Vienna, Ohio. He previously worked for a short stint at LaGuardia Airport, Queens, N.Y.

He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Hermitage.

Paul enjoyed bowling, water-skiing, and a good game of bridge.

His wife the former Sarah J. “Sally” Campbell, whom he married June 11, 1955, survives at home.

He also leaves his two daughters, Elaine A. Clark and her husband Paul of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Diane L. Nens and her husband Gene Obrizak, Farmington Hills, Mich.; two sons, Paul F. Dove; and James D. Dove and his wife Susan H., all of Alpharetta Ga.; five grandchildren, Bonnie Boggs, Alyssa and Caroline Nens, and Connor and Ashley Dove; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Brielle Boggs.

He was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters.

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday (6-22-13) in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stephen Steele, pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage, with full military honors rendered by the West Middlesex Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6233 and the Wheatland American Legion Post 432 Honor Guard.
