Edward J. Wolfinger Jr.

Hubbard man was Scout leader, insurance adjuster


---- — Edward J. Wolfinger Jr. of Hubbard passed away at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in Omni Manor Health Care Center, Youngstown. He was 72.

Mr. Wolfinger was born April 28, 1941, in Sharon, a son of Edward J. Wolfinger Sr. and Anne M. Hahn Wolfinger.

He was a 1959 graduate of Sharon High School and a 1964 alumnus of Youngstown State University.

Edward was an insurance adjuster for many years at Westfield (Ohio) Insurance Co.

Mr. Wolfinger was a veteran of the Army.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church of Hubbard and Knights of Columbus and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 100 of Hubbard.

Edward was an avid sportsman and fisherman and was a hunter safety instructor.

His wife, the former Rosemary Fabian, whom he married Aug. 5, 1967, passed away Nov. 25, 2010.

He is survived by: his children, Christine E. and her husband Christopher Learn, Austintown, Ohio; Edward J. Wolfinger III and his wife Kimmer, North Bloomfield, Ohio; and Jason D. Wolfinger and his wife Kelley, North Jackson, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Katelyn Learn and Chelsea Learn.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Wolfinger.

Laid to rest: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, with full military honors provided by Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
